Low gas content means reduction of arcing during sputtering

• H ydrogen quantification (ppm) in pure Al (4N-5N) or Al alloys finished products has become compulsory to guarantee high quality of 5N product.
• A low content (< 0.08-0.10 ppm H2) is the demonstration that casting processes are correctly mastered.
• T his is necessary to prevent or reduce the formation of microshrinkages or microporosities in the as-cast products
