Aluminium electrolytic capacitors are made of aluminium anode and cathode foils.

Anode foils must have a high and consistent surface capacitance. They are made from high purity foils whose surface is increased by an electrochemical etching treatment.

Cathode foils are usually thinner than anode foils and do not require high purity aluminum.

PHP Froges is a leading producer of high purity plain foil especially suited for etching treatments producing anode capacitor foil. This foil can be delivered in different specifications including various thickness, composition and surface properties. Usage may be low, medium or high voltage capacitors.

The Residual Resistivity Ratio (RRR) is a propertie of pure aluminum products which is used for the production of some superconductors wires (especially phsyics of particles at the CERN for example).
According to the purity, RRR range covers 700 to 8000 values.
